A Graduate of Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte NC, Chef Tallent made a name for himself as one of the best chefs in the southeastern united states in over 15 years of professional culinary experience. A Three time James Beard Foundation Nominee, Chef Tallent has worked and trained in prestigious restaurants across the country including Michelin Star Daniel and Jean Georges in NYC and AAA 5 Diamond Peninsula Grill in Charleston, SC and has been the Executive Chef and Owner of Bon Vivant Culinary catering company in Charlotte since 2013. Azalea Bistro combines Tallents love of both Charlestonian and French cuisine for an upscale yet approachable and eclectic restaurant in historic Saluda NC.
Emma (Teal) Tallent, a Charleston SC native who graduated Wake Forest University in Winston Salem NC in 2010 has a passion for guest services and hospitality. Emma spent 6 years with highly awarded technology and marketing firm Red Ventures in Charlotte NC with a specialization in sales and helped to cultivate a comfortable and professional culture for staff and customers before joining Garrett in Bon Vivant Culinary where she formed lasting client relationships and expanded the couples catering business and its visibility. Emma takes pride in attention to details and always pushes for guest satisfaction and team success and growth.
